Booked a Trip to Mardi Gras

We just booked a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. We will post pictures when there. David was able to use the Spirit Airline points we had with our Spirit Card we have, but I could not get mine to work.

TIP: Spirit Airlines is very difficult to work with on points. They messed our names on the application and it did not match with our spirit club, so could not book a trip – we tried to call them and ran into this giant circle loop of endless nonsense. Eventually I will spend those points, but not this trip.

    1. Yeah, that is what my husband said – that there will be theft and fights and trouble, so we should be really careful. So we will be.

  9. I’m looking forward to it! New Orleans and Mardi Gras has always fascinated me being a big Originals fan😅

    1. Ha, we started Watching the oringals as well. we are only 2 seasons in, but we were watching the spin off -legacy – and then realized there was a back story and have started watching that, but have alot to catch up on. That is a great show!

      1. Exactly! I would certainly not ruin the thrill with spoilers, but Originals is a spin-off series of The Vampire Diaries and to understand the 5th and last season you would have to see The Vampire Diaries because some characters of TVD come in the last seasons. In fact, a character came even in the third season, so I suggest you either put a pause to The Originals and watch TVD (Total 8 seasons) or you familiarize yourself with the characters and the storylines over the seasons and continue watching Originals and then watch TVD if interested (the latter being what I did)

      2. Ok, or maybe binge watch the originals this weekend and just catch up to season 3, so we know what is going on. And it will make NOrleans that much better.

  11. I traveled to New Orleans as a teenager with some of my family. We enjoyed wandering around and eating delicious food a lot! I can only begin to imagine what Mardi Gras would be like to experience in person. I look forward to seeing and hearing how your trip unfolds in a future blog post… Travel safely!!!

  15. Just so you are prepared, New Orleans tends to be a cash economy and a lot of places don’t take credit/debit cards. They want the green stuff. Have a great time on your trip!

    1. That is a good tip, will bring some cash, but prefer ccard to cash to save the travel points.
