Out by us, Jonnie Appleseed came thru long long ago and planted a bunch of apple trees, and these are where the orchards popped up, or at least that is what I was told when going on field trips. Those trees are long gone, but they have offspring trees from the originals. It is alot of fun, you typically walk or ride a hayride out to the orchard, then pick what you want to buy, eat a few. It is fun, everything is typically way overpriced and there is a ton of people there, but a fall classic by us.
