Took a quick weekend trip to Philadelphia, PA to meet up with our Son Brett who is stationed at DOVER AFB. Brett recommended Philly as our meet up location when we last saw him and boy did we have a great time.
We arrived at 4:30pm in Philly – Brett drove in early in the day swung over to pick us up at the airport. We rented an Airbnb – an apartment on the third floor (no elevator) 3 blocks from the convention center and right in the middle of everything we wanted. The started the Weekend with a stop at Reading Terminal, which closes at 6pm …. so we missed that and moved onto walking around China Town. These are some of the best pictures of that time.

After walking around for about an hour, David noticed an stairway down into what looked like a underground food court, we stopped and had a craft drink – me a Peach Champagne, David had a Tea infused Bourbon, and Brett also had a drink – but honestly we cannot remember the type. The most memorable part was sitting at the bar stools watching the work put into each drink and talking with Brett about the best part of his job and how proud I am of how he seems so happy. How he decided not to sit at home and do nothing, so see the world – live his dream. Proud Momma Moments for sure. Oh, and the Bao Bar – had Seaweed Topped hot dogs – ha! My review is – out of the way, fun craft drinks with a unique feel – we did not try the food, but only because we were so full. So we found this China Town little basement mall with a tiny bar – best part – just being with my Boy and Husband.
