We saw that Cheech and Chong were coming to Soaring Eagle Casino in Mount Pleasant, MI  on a billboard along Michigans I-75 on the way to our Bay City, MI Date weekend (earlier posting).  David LOVES Cheech and Chong, he plays their YouTube videos to me all the time, and quotes them in – so he bought tickets and booked a room for us immediately.   Turns out it was a sold out concert.  I have watch many clips, but was not sure what to expect – were they going to sit and tell stories, show movies and talk about it, just sit and smoke, lol.   Actually,  it was a delightful variety show with acted out scenes from their classic movies, stories from their personal lives, dancing, music… it was a pleasure to watch this ~1.5hour show.  Did you know Cheech was signed by Motown and was in Bobby Taylor and the Vancouvers.  Apparently both have a long time connection to Michigan, so I was not surprised they came to town (well outskirts of town). After the concert they announced, we could pay $150 for a personal picture and time with both Cheech and Chong, but we opted out of that experience.  Another wonder weekend with my husband.
